About Olga Lomanovitch
Shakespeare famously wrote “to thine own self be true.”I often wonder about what it means to be true to myself, and I know that I am not alone. In today’s fast paced society, it is easy to get lost in the shuffle. Society frequently dictates what seems or appears to be right or perfect, from the type of job that we have, to the way that we look, who we love and how we love, and the choices that we make on a day to day basis. When what we are told is “right or perfect” does not align with our true selves, we may lose our sense of self as well as a sense of belonging.
While everyone has a different reason to seek out therapy, I believe that healing begins with a deeper understanding and connection with oneself. I work from an eclectic perspective by to tailoring the therapeutic experience based your individual needs. I will collaborate with you on identifying your goals, while proving unconditional positive regard, and will support you on your journey towards understanding and connecting with your needs, as well as learning how to provide for them accordingly. I practice using a trauma informed foundation and utilize a wide variety of theoretical approaches, including Gestalt Therapy, CBT, Mindfulness, Abstinence and Harm Reduction, as well as Health at Every Size (HAES) and Intuitive Eating frameworks when working towards fostering a healthy relationship with your body. My office is located inside the William Way LGBT Community Center, and I welcome individuals from all walks of life. I strive to create and foster a safe, inclusive and non-judgmental environment, where you can freely express yourself, feel supported, accepted and understood.
Over the last decade of working in the mental health field in Philadelphia, I have helped hundreds of people in their healing process with a wide array of struggles including depression, anxiety and trauma, just to name a few. Today, I am passionate about working with individuals in their 20’s, 30’s and 40’s who are encountering various life transitions, addiction and substance use, trauma and PTSD, by helping them to cultivate a healthy relationship with themselves and the people who are important to them.
Along with traditional face to face therapy, I offer online therapy to anyone residing in Pennsylvania, using a secure, HIPPAA compliment platform.
