Welcome!
My name is Alexandra, a mountain-loving, meditating licensed therapist in Denver, Colorado with one goal ... to help you pursue your life and athletic adventures with passion.
In short, I provide clients with a dynamic and supportive platform to improve their mental health, strength and flexibility. Doing so is sometimes seen as a luxury or weakness in a our culture. However
I consider it normal if not
critical maintenance of our most powerful resource:
your mind.
My first exposure to the world of mental health and training occurred as a 15 year old highly competitive athlete, stuck in a rut of anxiety and burnout. While working with a sport psychologist, the powerful lessons, support and motivation I received planted a seed that has led me, now twenty years later, to offer this same service to my own clients.
My formal training began in 2008 as a clinicial mental health therapist at Children's Hospital Colorado. It has continued through my own private practice as well as a masters in Sport & Performance Psychology from the University of Denver. This along with extensive experience as a competitive collegiate athlete, world traveler and intuitive listener allows me to keenly connect to each unique clients' stories and goals.
In addition, I have developed a speciality in addressing stress and emotional obstacles within both sport/performance + life arenas. Specific issues I most often address include:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Stress Management
- Body Image Dissatisfaction
- Working through Burnout
- Returning from Injury/Concussion
- Disordered Eating
- Strengthing Coping Skills
- Motivation Enhancement
- Communication + Assertiveness
- Building your Support Tribe
- Athelte Career Transitions
- Being your Best Badass Self!
Whether our work together is brief or long, I am eager to get to know you and get started!
