About Philip Fauerbach
My name is Philip J Fauerbach, I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 25 years of experience, and I can help. Through my practice I have assisted many clients look at old problems in new ways. I provide a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive environment allowing you to express yourself in a way that is most comfortable for you. I believe that therapy is a partnership and together we will explore your concerns and develop strategies that will be the most effective for you.
I am a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (CBT) and trained at the Cognitive Behavioral Institute in Philadelphia. CBT helps focus on how we think about issues, which influences our emotions and behaviors. This can lead you to “worse case scenarios” that may never happen. Also, when we are stressed or anxious our thinking may often become distorted leaving you even more distraught.
My areas of expertise are anxiety/depression, relationships, trauma, and anger management. When working with couples, or doing “couples counseling” with one client, I follow the Gottman Method, which is based on over 40 years of extensive research. Additionally, I have earned Anger Management Specialist II certification from the American Anger Management Association.
