About Kay Gottrich
I believe in treating my clients with respect,and dignity. I provide compassionate and evidence-based treatments. I specialize in trauma in infants 0-3, 4-12, 13-18 and adults of all ages. I provide marital and family therapy too. I also specialize in depression, anxiety, grief, attachment disorders, addictions,and chronic pain. Evidence-based treatments I utilize are: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TFCBT), Mindfulness, Cognitive Therapy, Focusing, Compassionate focused therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, and Gottman couples therapy. I also am trained in Critical incident debriefing for businesses, and emergency care providers, such as, policeman, firefighters, and paramedics, dispatchers, and school crises. For children I use are: EMDR, Trauma focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy, attachment family therapy, sand tray therapy,And art therapy, All my clients receive a comprehensive evaluation with each clients input, as well as as a team, the client and therapist complete a treatment plan that best fits each client, couple, or family. I ask clients what I have I provided them during their counseling experience, and many of my clients have said,, "Kay your provided us with a different way to look at things, with gentleness, and you also provided skills for us to change what we are doing." Another client said it this way,, " I came in with no hope and I leave with hope." I have 16 yrs of experience in private practice, and I love working with the clients that I treat.
