About Keri Willis

I specialize in EMDR (facilitates the accessing and processing of traumatic memories and other adverse life experiences), Mindfulness-Based Somatic Therapy (emotions/sensations in the body in the present moment), and Parts Work influenced by Internal Family Systems (a transformative tool that conceives every human being as a system of protective and wounded inner parts lead by a core Self). My approach to counseling is compassionate and non-judgmental, and I provide a safe space for you to turn toward your experience rather than away. A whole body-mind approach is much more effective than talk therapy alone. I also use a variety of other forms of psychotherapy including Hakomi, Contemplative, Person-Centered (Rogerian), Gestalt, Existential, and Cognitive-Behavioral. I have a Master’s Degree in Counseling, I am a National Certified Counselor with the NBCC, and I am Licensed with the North Carolina Board for Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors. I accept Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Friday Health Plans, and self-pay. Sessions are available in-person and by secure Telehealth online video anywhere in North Carolina. Most insurance plans cover therapy sessions, often free or for as little as a $5 copay per session!
