About Michaelyn Woofter
Welcome to my practice. I am so glad you are here. My name is Michaelyn Woofter and I am a Licensed Clinical Social WOrker isn’t he state of Maryland. I have been supporting families, children, teens and adults, through life’s challenges for over 20 years.
Life is hard! As a mother myself, I understand the difficulty of meeting everyone's daily needs. Add in learning differences, peer pressure, the 24/7 culture of technology, and the very high societal expectations of mothers and it can be overwhelming! Life is about relationships and connections with family, friends, community, and yourself. Connect with me today and start your journey to thriving instead of surviving.
I have dedicated my practice to helping children, tweens, teens and young adults navigate anxiety, ADHD, learning differences, and executive function struggles. I offer positive parenting support and education to parents at all ages and stages of development. My practice is also committed to helping women struggling with prenatal and postpartum anxiety, balancing life with a baby, and supporting families with babies who are, and have been, in the NICU. I know the fear and sadness of the NICU. I have been there. I have also walked in the shoes of suicide survivors. I know your pain.
I have been in the field of social work since 1989, when I received a Bachelor of Arts in Justice from The American University. In 1994,I earned my Master of Social Work degree from the Catholic University of America.
My practice is conveniently located in suburban Maryland where I offer online, and in person, sessions to individuals throughout the state. Don’t wait. Connect with me today.
