About Noorayne Chevalier
I was born and raised in Windsor, Ontario. I completed a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology (University of Detroit Mercy) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Addiction Studies (Mercy College of Detroit). I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario), a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC with the Canadian Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists), a Canadian Certified Addictions Counsellor (CCAC with the Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation) and a Limited License Psychologist (LLP in the State of Michigan). In addition, I completed a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Arts degree in Religious Studies (University of Windsor) prior to my other degrees.
I’ve been in private practice since 1995 and in the fields of Mental Health and Substance Use for over 30 years.
I provide face-to-face and online counselling.
My therapeutic approach is strengths-based: Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) as well as Brief Narrative Therapy and Positive Psychology.
