About Emma Shugart

Hello! My name is Emma Shugart and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate in North Carolina. I earned a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University. I have experience working in both community mental health and private practice settings. While I have had the opportunity to work with individuals 5 years old and older, I have a special interest in providing therapy to adolescents/teens (13 – 18 years old) and female-identifying adults. I also enjoy providing therapeutic services to those that request that their faith be implemented into the treatment process. I do not believe that there is a one size fits all model for therapy. My approach is to tailor therapy specifically to each person while incorporating frameworks and supplemental resources to support the whole person. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, are a teen and/or parent searching for support with the teens school matters, or simply unsure of what it is you want or need, I believe it is important to meet everyone where they are, help with exploring areas of growth, and fully support you in identifying your strengths and recognizing your true potential. I cannot promise you that I have all the answers. What I can promise is to accept you, to never judge you, to celebrate your individuality, and to always be kind to you and your experiences. I am greatful to walk alongside  individuals to identify and create a path to a more meaningful life. Reaching out for support is a courageous first step! My hope is to work with you as you embark on your unique healing journey to promote personal growth and healing that will continue to serve you even after the therapeutic process has ended. I offer therapy services for NC residents through Olive and Vine Counseling, PLLC and exclusively online through a HIPAA secure platform.
