About Monique Merritt Romick

Welcome! As a therapist, I strive to reflect upon and understand the needs of my clients. Navigating life and all its challenges can be tough - we can all use a bit of support from time to time. Managing our moods, our needs, and learning to express them effectively is no easy task. I believe we all seek understanding, kindness, and compassion in our lives. Increasing our sense of confidence in living a life aligned with our goals and desires is the key to improved well-being. I am a client-centered, Black, queer therapist. I work collaboratively with clients to approach mental health concerns with empathy, and investment in the goals we set. I am committed to providing mental health care that is trauma-informed and person-centered. Together, we can create a space that is conducive to healing and support. Seeking support is often the most difficult but, most important step to feeling in control of our lives. I treat clients who are navigating the challenges related to life transitions, self-esteem, career stress, anxiety, depression, trauma processing and relationship difficulties. I support clients who are BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ whose identities are integral to their lived experience and mental health. I connect with clients who are pre-teens or teenagers, exploring their sense of self and making meaning of the world around them. As a clinician, I seek to connect with and serve a variety of folks and provide a space for healing that is inclusive of all identities and experiences. I welcome you to reach out to me - let's explore if we may be a good fit. I hope to join you on your journey of mental and emotional health.
