About Amy Du

Hi! Welcome! Please call me "Amy" (: I am a dedicated & compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) located in Walnut, California. I am board certified with the American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC). With 14 well-rounded, diverse years of nursing experience ranging from caring for residents in nursing homes to caring for intensive care patients on critical COVID units during the prime of the pandemic, I finally returned to my passion of psychiatry. During all this time, I have honed my skills in providing top-notch care to my patients. Beginning my nursing journey in 2010 as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Honolulu, Hawaii, I gained a deep appreciation for the importance of compassionate care. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse and later as a Registered Nurse Supervisor, I have always prioritized the well-being and comfort of my patients. I believe in treating all individuals from every culture with the dignity and respect they deserve. We all have a story, and I want to hear yours! Whether conducting thorough diagnostic interviews and assessments or offering emotional support, I am committed to ensuring my patients feel cared for, heard and understood. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I worked tirelessly in a high-risk, uncertain environment to provide vital, bedside care for those in need. It reinforced my commitment to patient safety and solidified the skill of staying positive and calm under pressure. My approach is patient-centered, collaborative, and optimistic. I strongly believe in active listening and clear communication with patients and their families to create individualized, patient-centered treatment plans. I am here to help and support you on your health journey. Feel free to book a free consultation with me to determine if I am a good fit for you or go ahead & make an appointment with me. I am here to help and look forward to hearing from you. Thank you
