The best Orlando therapist will be one you work well with and who provides quality care at a fair price. Online Therapy analyzed the top Orlando therapists and created this list of 14 well-rated options based on eight key factors, including credentials, specializations, availability, cost, and other fundamental features. |
Choosing the Best Orlando, FL TherapistsCredentialsCredentials build trust, which is crucial in a therapeutic relationship. Therapists must earn mental health counseling licensure from the Florida Department of Health, which requires a master’s degree or higher in mental health counseling and 1,500 hours of post-degree supervised counseling experience over two years. They must also pass an exam. AccessibilityTherapists usually have one or more specializations, making it easier to choose the right one for your needs. It’s also important to compare office hours to ensure they’re accessible during your required schedule. All the therapists listed offer remote services to better meet with clients with various scheduling needs. CostCost can be an obstacle, but your focus should primarily be on how much mental health assistance you’ll receive. To help alleviate budgeting concerns, check with your insurance provider to see if they cover mental health. Many therapists in Orlando also offer sliding fee scales that they don’t always advertise. |
